New Castle, Delaware, United States Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Maintain all certification and compliance requirements per Delaware Code Chapter 27, Section 2705, and related provisions. Exercise full powers of arrest and detention as needed on Wilmington University campuses. Collaborate with local and state law enforcement agencies. Ensure proper storage and handling of University-issued firearms while off duty. Conduct regular patrols of campus facilities to provide visible and effective security presence. Operate assigned safety vehicles and monitor safety desks, phones, radios, alarms, and CCTV systems. Respond promptly and appropriately to calls for service from students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Prepare detailed incident and accident reports in accordance with departmental protocols. Utilize and manage departmental systems including DELJIS, RMS, access control systems, ID card production, lockdown and public announcement systems, and CCTV. Ensure compliance with Clery Act requirements and departmental policies. Assist with traffic control and monitor campus conditions for safety hazards. Report any safety concerns to appropriate supervisors or departments. Perform additional duties as assigned by the University Safety Operations Manager.
