Law Enforcement Deputy Salary:
$50,000 (salary based on years of experience)Description of Position:
Under general supervision of a Sergeant, or designee, performs general law enforcement work in the preservation & protection of life & property, the prevention of crime, the maintenance of good public order, the enforcement of civil & criminal law, & other related duties as required by direction or assignment. All assignments involve responsibility for recognizing the social importance of the law enforcement function & for conscientious and effective performance of duties without immediate supervision. Incumbent exercises judgment & individual initiative in the performance of routine duties & in emergency situations. Positions require the member to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends & holidays. Duties are generally performed on an assigned shift, but the deputy may be called upon to work special assignments, on other shifts. and/or at such times as directed to best fill the efficient and effective operations of the Sheriff's Office.Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Must be a United States Citizen
- Must be a Florida certified law enforcement officer
- Never received dishonorable discharge from any branch of the armed forces of the United States
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving perjury, false statement or domestic violence
- Successfully complete a background investigation to include a drug screening, CVSA, psychological evaluation and found to be of good moral character.
