Job Description

The City of Cedar Falls is accepting applications to test for Reserve Police Officer . Applicants must be a minimum of 19 yrs. old, possess a high school diploma, or equivalent, have a valid Iowa Driver's License with good driving record, be an Iowa resident, and successfully pass a background check and post-offer, pre-employment Police Officer physical and drug screen. Reserve Officers are provided with necessary training, equipment and uniforms and work with and serve in a voluntary capacity to supplement career Officers. A monetary stipend is provided after two (2) yrs. of service. The City is seeking applicants who are satisfied with their current career but have the desire to volunteer their time to the citizens of Cedar Falls. Testing will be completed in Cedar Falls at the Public Safety Center building located at 4600 South Main Street on Saturday, August 8th at 8:00 a.m. Candidates will be informed of their eligibility to test, and additional information will be provided to complete and return to testing.
