POLICE OFFICERS
The City of DeWitt, Iowa The City of DeWitt, Iowa (5500 pop.) is now accepting applications for both Certified and Non-Certified Police Officers. Entry level Non-Certified Officer starting wage is $71,344 annually upon successful completion of the academy, and Certified Officer starting wage is commensurate with experience up to $77,958 annually. The City of DeWitt offers a very competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision and life insurance, MFPRSI retirement, longevity bonus, vacation, personal leave days, sick leave, clothing allowance, educational incentive, tuition reimbursement, and recreation / health club membership. Applicants must meet all ILEA requirements, including a comprehensive background investigation, psychological testing, and be examined by a physician, and meet the physical requirements necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of a law enforcement officer as required by ILEA.
