Salary:

Starting:

up to $93,870 Dependent on experience, minimum base starting salary range of $73,091 - $93,870/year. Patrol top out pay at the end of the current contract is $131,456 (Not including overtime, holidays, and other stipends). A new lateral hire who completes the required Field Training and an 18-month probationary period will receive a $5,000 stipend. New lateral hires will also receive five (5) sick days. Lateral hires with at least five (5) years of full-time police experience with another agency will receive five (5) vacation days upon hire.

18,164 Position Details All applicants must meet the following requirements:

Citizenship:

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Drivers License:

Must possess a valid Illinois Drivers License.

Certification:

Must currently be an ILETSB Certified Illinois Officer with at least 2 years of full time police experience with no break in service.

Character:

Must be of good moral character with no misdemeanor or felony convictions.

Residency:

Must live within 30 miles of village limits within 1 year of employment.

Testing:

Successfully pass background investigation including polygraph, psychological evaluation, and medical examination.
