$78,364.12 Pay will increase to $97,756.52 after first year
Benefits:
Initial uniforms and equipment provided by the Department; annual uniform allowance. Excellent health, dental and life insurance at a 15.5% premium. Compensatory accrual up to 80 hours. Investigations, Acting Watch Commander (AWC), and Field Training Officer (FTO) stipends Educational pay incentive of $800 for those who possess Associate Degrees and $1200 for those who possess a Bachelor's Degree. Educational Reimbursement for attainment of Associates and/or Bachelor's Degree, while employed with the Village.

7,762 Position Details The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the Village of Broadview is now accepting applications for the position of Entry Level Law Enforcement. Testing is being conducted for an immediate need to hire and to establish an Eligibility List and for future hiring. Broadview has a "small-town" feel while existing only 13 miles away from the hustle and bustle of Chicago. Broadview's suburban setting offers respite from the big city, yet its location puts restaurants, sports arenas, shopping centers and convention/meeting facilities just minutes away. The Broadview Police Department is dedicated to the service of their community and will continue to pursue the safety of all of their residents, businesses and visitors.

Citizenship:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must under Federal Law, be authorized to obtain, carry, purchase, or otherwise possess a firearm.
Driver's License:
Must possess a valid Driver's License at the time of application and at time of hire.
Age Requirement:
Applicants MUST have attained their 21st birthday by the last date for filing applications (6/3/26). Applicants must be under the age of 35 years at the time of application (6/3/26) and as such time as the final eligibility list is posted unless exempt by State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2. 1-6 which provides, in part, that the age limitation does not apply to any person previously employed as a full-time police officer for a municipality in the United States.
Education:
Must have proof of High School Diploma, GED Certificate or High School Proficiency Statement.
Character:
Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character as described in State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6. Must not have committed any felony, certain misdemeanors, or crimes involving moral turpitude and be of good moral character pursuant to 50 ILCS 705/6.
Residence:
The Village of Broadview does not have a residency requirement at this time.
