What You'll Do As a Part-Time Park Police Officer, you will: Patrol parks, trails, facilities, and recreational areas. Promote public safety and enforce Park District ordinances and applicable laws. Respond to incidents, emergencies, and public concerns. Conduct investigations and prepare reports. Provide security for special events and community gatherings. Work collaboratively with local police, fire, and EMS agencies. Serve as a positive ambassador for the Crystal Lake Park District. Educate patrons on park safety and regulations. Work on weekends at least once a month.
Qualifications:
Illinois Police Officer Certification through the Illinois Local Government Law Enforcement Officers Training Board Valid Driver's License CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain) Minimum age of 21 years Ability to pass background, medical, and psychological evaluations
