Requirements:
Age not less than 21 years old. Age not more than 35 years old unless exempt from such age limitations as provided in Section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioners Act. Citizen of the United States. High School Graduate or equivalent. Must pass Physical Aptitude, Written, Oral, Psychological, Polygraph and Medical Exams and a Background check. Must live within 30 miles of the City Hall address within 6 months.
