Duties:

• Conduct surveillance and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
• Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to citizens in need
• Write reports and maintain accurate records of incidents and investigations
• Provide animal care and assistance in animal-related incidents
• Develop and implement strategies for loss prevention
• Utilize leadership skills to supervise and direct other officers
• Manage conflicts in a fair and professional manner
• Enforce immigration laws and collaborate with federal agencies as needed
• Conduct thorough criminal investigations to identify suspects and gather evidence
• Participate in community outreach and engagement activities to foster trust and improve relationships
• Perform duties in a militarized environment, adhering to department policies and procedures
• Maintain physical fitness and meet the requirements of the position
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills

Skills:

• Possess a certificate of completion from a police academy or equivalent training program
• Demonstrate strong leadership and conflict management abilities
• Proficiency in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies
• Ability to write clear and concise reports
• Experience in animal care and handling
• Familiarity with immigration laws and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
