Job Description

POLICE OFFICER
The City of Little Falls is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer (Full-Time). The Police Officer protects the citizens through crime prevention and detection by patrolling and builds relationships with the community through positive interactions.
Minimum qualifications:
Possess a valid Class A Peace Officers Standards and Training License. Possess a valid Minnesota driver's license with good driving record. Certification or the ability to become certified in emergency driving, taser, use of force and firearms. A comprehensive understanding of the Minnesota Criminal Statutes and Traffic Codes, including rules of criminal procedures dealing with arrest situations, criminal investigations, defendants rights and rules of evidence. Ability to conduct effective interviews of victims, witnesses and defendants/suspects. CPR and First Aid certification. Lateral pay opportunities! We are a progressive, full-service law enforcement agency with numerous opportunities for professional development and advanced training. Special assignment opportunities include Field Training Officer, Instructor Assignments, TZD Enforcement, Drug Recognition Evaluator, and others. Additionally, we partner with the Morrison County Sheriff's Office and other local agencies to provide additional opportunities such as Tactical Response Team (SWAT) and Dive!
