Job Description
Performs work assigned related to successful completion of law enforcement Professional Peace Officer Education Program (PPOE). This position is a temporary position which will conclude upon the completion or un-enrollment in a law enforcement PPOE program. Work is performed under the supervision of a Sergeant and Public Safety Deputy Director. Reads, learns and applies the laws, ordinances, policies, rules and other materials required to perform all assigned accountabilities of the position. Completes school coursework in a timely manner. Maintains passing scores in PPOE program . Maintains MN POST license eligibility . Represents the City of New Brighton in a professional manner. During school breaks provides assistance to agency as directed. Associate's or Bachelors Degree from a Regionally Credited College or University in any field of study Must Not Have Completed or Started a Minnesota PPOE Program or taken the MN POST Exam or MN POST Reciprocity Exam Valid Driver's License Meet Minimum POST Police Officer Eligibility Requirements Successfully Complete Background Investigation Successfully Complete Psychological Assessment Successfully Complete Physical Ability Assessment Successfully Complete Physical Assessment Live or work in the City of New Brighton
