Full Job Description Introduction:
The City of Lake Tapawingo is a family friendly lake community seeking qualified service-oriented police officers to join our team. Known as a "Great Place to Live," Lake Tapawingo and the Police Department strongly encourage high character, ethical, and professional officers to apply for the full-time position within this active, close-knit metropolis.
Job summary:
Closely interacts with the law enforcement friendly environment through strong community engagement, crime prevention techniques, proactive patrol, calls for service, traffic enforcement, problem solving and networking with fellow law enforcement allies.

Knowledge of:
Federal, State and Municipal laws and ordinances Law Enforcement and Court best practices First Responder first-aid techniques Computer and job-related software Police equipment: vehicles, speed radar units, body armor, handcuffs, firearms, batons, pepper spray and related equipment Report Writing De-escalation methods and best practices Crime prevention techniques
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record At least twenty-one (21) years of age High School diploma or GED or equivalent
Missouri Class A POST Certification:
or able to obtain at time of appointment Must not have any Felony convictions
