Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Atlantic County Correctional Police Officer and become a vital part of maintaining safety, security, and order within our correctional facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for enforcing laws, ensuring the well-being of staff and inmates, and upholding the highest standards of security. REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
AGE:
Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
LICENSE:
Appointees must possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey.
NOTE:
Applicants for this position must submit acceptable proof of meeting the above indicated requirements.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Appointees must have successfully completed the Basic Course for County Correction Officers training program mandated by the New Jersey Police Training Commissions within 12 months of hire. Such training includes successful attainment of a satisfactory level of proficiency in the use of firearms.
NOTE:
Appointees will be required to qualify/requalify in the use of firearms in accordance with State of New Jersey regulatory requirements.
NOTE:
Appointees to positions in SWAT, SERT or related units must additionally qualify quarterly in the use of all weapons used by the unit.
