Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Take police reports and conduct other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience:
Required Education:
Associate's degree (any field).;
Required Experience:
No previous work experience required.;
Equivalency:
2 years' experience as a certified PO; or 2 years' experience allowing for a combination of education (15 related credits equivalent to 6 months experience), and/or military service (honorably discharged), and/or certified PO experience.;
Required Certification/License:

Preferred Qualifications:
Lateral Commissioned Officer with a minimum of two years of commissioned experience in law enforcement. Applicant must be in good standing or have recently left in good standing with their department.
Special Certification/Licensure:
Working Conditions and Physical Effort Environment:
Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Physical Effort:
Considerable physical activity. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
Lifting Requirements:
Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
Risk:
Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
