Detention Deputy Trainee - Pahrump Nye County Sheriff's Office is hiring for a Detention Deputy in the Nye County Detention Center in Pahrump. Academy training will be conducted by the Nye County Sheriff's Office in Pahrump. The Nye County Sheriff's Office offers paid training and full benefits, including 100% employer-paid retirement, medical, dental, and vision for the employee, uniform allowance, paid vacation, and sick leave. Compensation The annual salary range is $57,740-$92,768 Nye County Sheriff's Office offers additional pay for: College Education P.O.S.T. years of age at time of appointment. No felony or gross misdemeanor convictions. No domestic violence convictions. Resident of the State of Nevada at time of appointment.Testing:
Written test - minimum score 70% to pass Oral Examination - minimum combined score of 70% to pass Thorough background investigation Drug / Narcotics screen through a designated facility Computer Voice Stress Analyzer Psychological examination No tattoos on the hands, neck, face, or head are permitted. The physical and mental requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Demanding physical environment—requires lifting and subduing citizens, running, and handling of law enforcement weaponry. Detention facility setting—subject to physically escorting prisoners and visitors, physically subduing prisoners and searching cells. o Law enforcement detention facility environment—subject to assault, injury and disease from prisoners.
