Detention Deputy Trainee - Pahrump Nye County Sheriff's Office is hiring for a Detention Deputy in the Nye County Detention Center in Pahrump. Academy training will be conducted by the Nye County Sheriff's Office in Pahrump. Qualifications Application Requirements:

Graduation from a high school or

G.E.D. 21

years of age at time of appointment. No felony or gross misdemeanor convictions. No domestic violence convictions. Resident of the State of Nevada at time of appointment.

Demanding physical environment—requires lifting and subduing citizens, running, and handling of law enforcement weaponry. Detention facility setting—subject to physically escorting prisoners and visitors, physically subduing prisoners and searching cells. o Law enforcement detention facility environment—subject to assault, injury and disease from prisoners.
