Maintain and transport persons in custody. Engage in public speaking, problem solving initiatives, and with citizens in crime reduction efforts through effective communication. Required Trainings/Certifications Must be currently certified as a Peace Officer by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy (OPOTA) for the State of Ohio. Must possess a current valid state issued operator's license with acceptable driving record. Must pass recruitment testing (physical fitness assessment, background investigation, written test, polygraph examination, psychological assessment, toxicology screening, and medical examination). Required Experience Must have at least three (3) years of service and documented work history with another Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy (OPOTA) certified law enforcement agency.
