Police Officer 477 Ski Gap Road, Claysburg, PA 16625 From $22.50 an hour - Part-time, Full-time From $22.50 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Overview Join our dedicated law enforcement team as a Police Officer and become a vital protector of community safety and order. In this dynamic role, you will actively patrol neighborhoods, respond swiftly to emergencies, investigate crimes, and uphold the law with integrity and professionalism. Your commitment will help foster a secure environment where residents and visitors feel safe and supported. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to serve with purpose, develop your skills, and make a meaningful difference every day. Starting pay rate is $22.50/hr the first year and $26.50/hr after the first year. Duties Patrol assigned areas regularly to deter crime, monitor public safety, and provide assistance to community members Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, disturbances, and reports of criminal activity Conduct thorough criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and documenting findings accurately Write detailed reports on incidents, arrests, investigations, and patrol activities to ensure clear communication and legal compliance Enforce laws related to traffic control, public safety, immigration regulations, and animal handling when necessary Engage in surveillance activities using various techniques to monitor suspicious behavior or criminal activity Manage conflict situations with professionalism by employing conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions Provide first aid or CPR when needed until medical professionals arrive during emergencies Assist in loss prevention efforts at public venues or retail locations as part of security protocols Maintain vehicle safety through regular driving checks and adherence to traffic laws Support community outreach initiatives to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and residents Requirements Valid law enforcement certification or equivalent training from an accredited program (Act 120) Proven experience in criminal investigation, report writing, or related law enforcement roles preferred Strong leadership qualities with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure Knowledge of immigration law, animal handling procedures, and security protocols is advantageous Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations Experience in surveillance techniques and conflict management strategies Military background or prior experience in security or loss prevention is a plus Excellent driving record with a valid driver's license suitable for patrol duties Physical fitness sufficient for prolonged patrols involving standing, walking, or running Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse community members and team members Join us as a Police Officer if you're passionate about protecting others, upholding justice, and making your community safer every day.
