REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior law enforcement experience MPOETC basic training or graduate from the PA State Police Academy; and complete annual in-service training approved by MPOETC to maintain this certification NASRO Basic School Resource Officer Course or equivalent

Position is responsible for maintaining order and discipline, preventing crime, investigating student violations of school board policies, and detaining students violating the law or school board policies on school property or at school-sponsored events and is responsible solely for ensuring the safety, security, and welfare of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors in the assigned school. Position assists the administrative staff with enforcing policies and procedures for a safe and orderly school environment. The School Police Officer will be responsible for State required safety and security reports and other administrative securty duties.
