Police Officer Public Safety - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (25006269) Responsibilities include ensuring public safety in a multi-cultural environment in the third largest police department in Allegheny County. RESPONSE TO CALLS FOR SERVICE

Responds immediately to all requests for service and takes appropriate action(s). Conducts effective, thorough preliminary, and follow-up investigations. Provides appropriate assistance. Patrols grounds, buildings in vehicle and on foot; checks/secures all University property in assigned area. Actively and continuously monitors and evaluates all activity in assigned areas. Identifies, assesses, and reports suspicious persons/activities and trends; initiates appropriate action(s) to respond to each situation. Provide assistance, direction and information as needed based upon the situation. Enforces traffic regulations, restrictions, laws. Recognizes and reports safety hazards.
