Minimum Qualifications:

At least 21 years of age prior to academy completion Valid driver's license Reside within 50 miles of the department High school diploma or GED Pass physical fitness, written, and oral exams Pass medical, psychological, vision, drug screening, background check, and credit check If not Act 120 certified, must be eligible and willing to attend the Police Academy (starting July 2026) Out-of-state and federal/military law enforcement applicants:
