Job Description

Like Most Everyone Else, The Brazoria Police Department has an Opening. If you want to be part of a place that values hard work, humility, and growth, then give us a chance. We offer 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends (Friday-Saturday-Sunday off every other week). We make no promises, but we will give you the opportunity to become a better officer—and maybe even a better teammate. If that sounds like something you're ready for, we encourage you to apply. What we don't need are people who walk in the door expecting rank or privilege based on a few years of questionable experience elsewhere. What we do need are people who want to work—officers who want to learn, be part of a team, and contribute something meaningful during their time here. The Patrol Officer is responsible for a variety of duties that are necessary to fulfill the Police Department's mission. All duties must be performed in an effective, efficient and safe manner that will foster the public's confidence and trust. This position demands special qualifications and proficiency in certain skills and abilities of a physical, mental and technical nature. In addition, you must be motivated to accept new challenges and finding creative solutions, take ownership and pride by demonstrating the City of Brazoria's Core Values of Integrity, Customer Service, Efficiency and Innovation.
