Description/Notes:
Under general supervision, provide security and protection for students, staff, and visitors, and prevent property loss due to theft or vandalism.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED required A First Aid and CPR Certificate A clear criminal background check The ability to counsel and interact with children and teenagers Clear and valid License to Carry through DPS Must be able to pass a psychological exam Ability to attend and pass 80 hours of School Marshal training at the district's expense
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to clearly and accurately record information Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to work effectively with youths and adults Ability tomunicate effectively
Experience:
Security Officermissioned by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), or equivalent experience in law enforcement, private security, or military service, preferred
