Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of legal practice areas, including family law, estate planning, workers' compensation law, Social Security disability and personal injury law. The Associate Attorney will support senior attorneys in conducting comprehensive legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing case files while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position is ideal for a motivated legal professional eager to develop their expertise in multiple practice areas within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development. Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Assist in managing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining organized documentation for multiple practice areas. Support attorneys during negotiations by preparing relevant legal materials and participating in discussions as needed. Stay current on evolving laws and regulations across various fields such as family law, estate planning and more. Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress while maintaining confidentiality. Participate in legal administrative tasks to ensure efficient workflow within the law office environment. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the Alabama state bar within the past three years is required. Willing to interview candidates sitting for the Alabama State Bar in July, 2026, contingent on passing and admission. Proven experience or strong interest in practicing estate planning, family law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and Social Security Disability Proficiency with legal research; experience with case management software is preferred. Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents. Strong analytical skills for conducting comprehensive legal research and interpreting complex statutes. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while adhering to deadlines. Effective negotiation skills for client interactions and settlement discussions.
Pay:
$36,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
