Business Law Attorney

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Law Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will provide expert legal counsel across a broad spectrum of business-related legal matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks for our organization. Your expertise will support strategic decision-making, contract negotiations, and regulatory adherence, empowering our business to grow confidently and responsibly. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and possesses a passion for delivering clear, actionable legal guidance in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Advise on a wide range of legal issues including creditor/debtor representation, commercial litigation, collections, bankruptcy-related matters, and contract disputes. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents to protect the organization's interests. Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to stay current on relevant laws and regulations. Provide counsel on compliance with federal, state, and local laws affecting business operations. Support litigation processes by preparing legal pleadings, managing discovery efforts, and liaising with external counsel when necessary. Maintain meticulous records of legal activities and ensure all documentation adheres to regulatory requirements. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in relevant jurisdictions. Proven experience in legal research and writing using Westlaw or LexisNexis platforms. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to draft clear and precise legal documents. Familiarity with creditor/debtor representation, commercial litigation, collections, bankruptcy-related matters, contract disputes, landlord-tenant law, and litigation procedures. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently within a busy legal office environment. Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—that facilitate effective collaboration across teams. $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
