Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Attorney specializing in Prosecution and Civil Litigation to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle a diverse caseload, including criminal prosecutions, civil disputes, and complex litigation matters. The successful candidate will play a vital role in advocating for clients, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files with precision and professionalism. Duties Our law firm prosecutes for the City of Litchfield Park. You would handle all prosecution cases for the City, ensuring adherence to legal procedures and effective advocacy. Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation. Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal arguments. Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements with clarity and accuracy. Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients while maintaining professionalism. Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedural requirements. Stay informed on developments across various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, and more. Skills Proven experience or strong interest in litigation across multiple legal disciplines including civil and criminal law. Excellent legal research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms. Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear, persuasive legal documents. Strong negotiation abilities to facilitate settlements or favorable resolutions. Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently within a busy law office environment.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
