Job Description

We are a family-owned CPA practice in Mesa, Arizona with a 25-year history of serving loyal clients and building a strong reputation for trusted tax, accounting, and advisory services. As a well-established seven-figure firm, we are seeking a motivated CPA who is interested in more than just a job; we are looking for a future leader. This opportunity is ideal for a local CPA with approximately 5-10 years of public accounting experience who is entrepreneurial, strategic, and eager to play a significant role in the continued growth and leadership of the practice. The firm's owner plans to retire within approximately five years and is seeking the right individual to help lead the business, serve clients, and potentially pursue a partnership, succession, or merger opportunity.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage and grow client relationships
  • Prepare and review tax returns and financial statements
  • Provide proactive tax planning and business advisory services
  • Help oversee daily operations of the firm
  • Mentor and support staff development
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business growth initiatives
  • Work closely with the owner to learn all aspects of firm management
  • Gradually assume increasing leadership responsibilities
What We're Looking For:
  • CPA license in good standing
  • Approximately 5-10 years of public accounting experience; open to client mergers
  • Strong tax and accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with business acumen
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and solutions-oriented
  • Desire to help lead and eventually transition into a senior leadership or ownership role
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
