The Opportunity:
We are a leader in the fintech space and are hiring a talented Lead Counsel with expertise in the Financial Services sector. This role will play a key legal role at a cutting-edge company, shaping the way financial products are designed and delivered worldwide. Responsibilities:
Serve as a legal advisor for fintech products. Navigate and advise on complex regulatory, compliance, and commercial aspects of launching new financial products globally. Draft and negotiate agreements with banks and payment processors. Review new products, features, and initiatives to develop risk mitigation strategies. Partner with cross-functional teams to support product development and regulatory compliance. Assist in preparing and responding to inquiries from federal and state regulators.
Must-Have Skills:
Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in at least one U.S. state. 8+ years of legal experience in the financial services or fintech environments. Deep knowledge of federal and state payment regulations. Experience interfacing with banks, regulatory agencies, and payment networks. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills within high-growth, fast-paced environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience advising on risk mitigation for technology platforms. An understanding of privacy and content compliance.
