Job Description
O2 Employment Services is partnering with an established law firm to recruit an Attorney with experience in Family Law and Criminal Defense. This position is based in Chico, CA. The ideal candidate will be a motivated legal professional who is comfortable managing a caseload involving family law and criminal defense matters. This role requires strong research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to provide high-quality legal representation to clients.
Attorney Compensation:
$43 (DOE)

Attorney Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
Previous experience working within a law firm or legal office setting
Background or familiarity with family law and criminal defense cases, including misdemeanor and felony matters
Experience using legal research platforms such as Westlaw
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to think critically, analyze legal issues, and develop effective case strategies
Excellent attention to detail and legal drafting abilities
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
Attorney Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in family law and criminal defense matters
Conduct legal research to support case development and strategy
Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence
Represent clients during negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings
Manage an active caseload while maintaining accurate documentation and records
Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and legal procedures
