The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is seeking highly collaborative individuals with expertise in family and community engagement to apply for the Family Partnership and Empowerment Administrator position. Under administrative direction, leads, develops, and implements comprehensive strategies to foster authentic family partnerships, empower families as leaders and advocates; establishes systems and practices to build capacity of Los Angeles County Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to ensure equitable access to resources and decision-making; builds systems, programs, and partnerships that elevate family voice, strengthen family-school-community relationships, and advance student and family well-being. Required Education and Experience Education:
A bachelor's degree in social work, education, family studies, public administration or a field closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning accredited by a regional accrediting organization recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience:
Five years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing organizational systems and strategic initiatives in an educational, community-based, or government setting. Two years of the required experience must include building and implementing large-scale initiatives and partnerships.
Additional Requirements:
A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required. Experience in building and implementing large-scale, high-impact initiatives and partnerships pertaining to family or community engagement is preferred. A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
