Job Description:
Webber & Egbert Employment Law seeks a full-time Of Counsel or Partner-level attorney to join our highly dedicated team of employment law specialists in Sacramento. We are a rapidly growing plaintiff-side firm that litigates on behalf of California employees. We offer an exceptional opportunity for growth with an energetic and accomplished team. The current partnership came from large, defense-side firms. Defense-side attorneys are encouraged to apply. Job Qualifications The ideal candidate will be a motivated attorney with 5 to 10 years of experience who demonstrates the following non-exhaustive list of skills and qualifications:
  • A member of the California bar in good standing;
  • A stellar reputation in the California legal community;
  • Superb knowledge of employment laws, including the FEHA and Labor Code;
  • A commanding grasp of civil procedure;
  • A strategic mind and critical thinking;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail;
  • Strong research and analysis; and
  • The ability to succeed in a team environment. Job Responsibilities
  • Develop results-oriented case strategy for maximum benefit to firm clients;
  • Supervise associate attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants;
  • Review and/or prepare initial pleadings, discovery, and law and motion papers;
  • Take and defend key depositions;
  • Engage in all aspects of settlement efforts, including direct negotiations and mediations; and
  • Attend hearings, review and/or prepare all pre-trial work, and try cases through completion.
