The attorney will represent clients with serious asbestos-related medical diagnoses, managing a caseload from intake through resolution and maintaining direct, compassionate client contact throughout each matter.
Key responsibilities:
Manage a steady docket of plaintiff-side asbestos cases, handling intake, client meetings, and ongoing client communication. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents with accuracy and timeliness. Prepare for and conduct depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings as required. Collaborate with an experienced plaintiff litigation team to develop case strategy and coordinate litigation planning. Maintain organized case files, meet filing and discovery deadlines, and track case-related tasks in case-management systems.
Minimum qualifications:
Active California law license required. Proven legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced litigation environment while meeting deadlines. Comfortable and effective working directly with clients who have serious medical conditions, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism.
Preferred qualifications:
Prior experience in asbestos, toxic tort, or plaintiff-side personal injury litigation. Experience taking or defending depositions and preparing cases for trial. Familiarity with handling medical records, exposure-history investigation, and related factual development.
