Job Description

We are looking for an experienced litigation attorney to join a busy Bay Area practice in Emeryville, California. The position offers the opportunity to work with an established client base, collaborate across a broad litigation practice, and contribute meaningful courtroom and case strategy experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a high-volume portfolio of litigation matters from initial assessment through resolution, with an emphasis on personal injury, product liability, and asbestos-related claims.
  • Develop case strategies, evaluate exposure, and guide matters through all phases of litigation while maintaining high standards of legal analysis and advocacy.
  • Prepare and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents with careful attention to legal accuracy and persuasive writing.
  • Lead discovery efforts by drafting written discovery, reviewing responses, coordinating document production, and preparing witnesses for depositions.
  • Communicate directly with clients to provide status updates, discuss legal strategy, and deliver clear reporting on case developments and risk considerations.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and other litigation proceedings as needed.
  • Work closely with colleagues across related practice areas to support matters involving overlapping issues in insurance, landlord-tenant, and business disputes.
  • Negotiate resolutions where appropriate while preparing cases thoroughly for trial when litigation demands a courtroom-ready approach.
