Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated legal team as an Assistant Attorney General, where you'll play a vital role in advancing justice and protecting public interests. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal issues, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, and more. You will provide expert legal counsel, conduct thorough research, draft comprehensive legal documents, and represent the state in various legal proceedings. Your proactive approach and strong negotiation skills will contribute to impactful outcomes that serve the community and uphold the rule of law. Duties Provide legal advice and counsel on complex matters spanning estate planning, environmental issues, immigration policies, landlord-tenant disputes, family law cases, securities regulations, workers' compensation claims, personal injury claims, tribal law compliance, patent applications, and litigation strategies. Conduct detailed legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and policy recommendations. Draft clear and persuasive legal documents including briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, and legislative proposals with precision and attention to detail. Represent the state in court proceedings, negotiations, mediations, and administrative hearings with professionalism and confidence. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to develop comprehensive legal strategies that align with statutory requirements and policy goals. Manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining meticulous records of all legal activities and correspondence. Stay current on evolving laws and regulations through continuous research and professional development to ensure compliance and effective advocacy. Skills Extensive knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation procedures, patent law & applications. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for in-depth case analysis. Strong negotiation skills to facilitate agreements that benefit all parties involved. Excellent legal writing skills with the ability to produce well-organized briefs and detailed legal drafts. Demonstrated experience in handling diverse legal matters within a law office setting or similar environment. Ability to interpret complex statutes and regulations accurately while providing clear guidance. Legal administrative experience including managing case files, preparing reports, and maintaining organized records. Pay:
$80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
