Attorney | Municipal Land Use Transactional | Remote | 148645 Mission Recruiting - 3.8 Fullerton, CA Job Details $170,000 - $200,000 a year 8 days ago Qualifications Bar Legal compliance Full Job Description A well-established California public law practice is seeking an experienced municipal attorney to support public agency clients in Southern California. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys advising public entities, attending public meetings, and working closely with government clients on land use and governance matters. The position focuses on municipal advisory and transactional work, including land use, zoning, CEQA/NEPA compliance, development agreements, and public agency governance. Responsibilities Advise cities and public agencies on municipal law matters Serve as legal advisor to planning commissions and public boards Provide counsel on Brown Act, Public Records Act, and Political Reform Act compliance Draft and negotiate development agreements and transactional documents Advise on zoning, CUPs, variances, and land use matters Attend and advise during public meetings and hearings Prepare ordinances, resolutions, memoranda, and legal documents Qualifications 5+ years of municipal law experience Experience representing California public agencies Experience advising public boards (planning commissions, city councils, etc.) Strong knowledge of Brown Act, PRA, and Political Reform Act compliance Active California Bar license in good standing
Compensation & Schedule Salary:
$170,000 - $200,000 DOE Annual billable hours bonus program Remote schedule after onboarding Must reside locally in Southern California 1,800 annual billable hours target
