Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assistant In-House Counsel to join our legal team. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in employment and labor law , particularly in wage & hour compliance, class action litigation, and employment matters. You will work closely with Senior In-House Counsel to manage litigation, conduct investigations, and advise internal teams on compliance and risk management. We are 5 days in-office, this is not a remote position Key Responsibilities Support on employment and wage & hour matters, including PAGA and class action litigation . Review and update employment contracts, employee handbooks, and HR policies . Partner with Senior In-House Counsel on litigation, investigations, and risk assessments. Conduct legal research and advise HR and operations on labor compliance. Respond to pre-litigation matters, subpoenas, and agency inquiries (DLSE, DFEH, EEOC, etc.). Manage outside counsel on litigation while handling select matters in-house. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) and active California Bar license required. 2-4 years of litigation experience , preferably in employment/labor law. Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters efficiently .
