Position Overview:
Our law firm client based in Los Angeles is seeking a senior tax attorney with 7+ years of experience to join its Taxation, Trusts & Estates practice. This is a senior-level opportunity with flexibility on location with the either of 3 offices listed and no requirement for a portable book of business. The role is designed for an experienced tax attorney who can contribute to sophisticated client matters while also playing a key role in mentoring junior attorneys and helping shape the continued growth and strategic direction of the practice group.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise individuals and corporate clients on complex tax matters related to corporate and partnership transactions Provide tax structuring and planning advice for strategic and private equity M&A transactions Support domestic and international tax planning initiatives Advise on private equity fund formation, capital markets transactions, financings, and restructurings Collaborate across practice groups on high-stakes transactional matters Mentor and develop junior attorneys within the Taxation, Trusts & Estates group Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the practice
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Minimum of 7+ years of relevant tax law experience Strong background in sophisticated corporate, partnership, and transactional tax matters Experience in private equity, M&A, fund formation, or capital markets tax structuring preferred Large law firm training strongly preferred LL.M. in Taxation preferred Strong analytical, drafting, and client advisory skills Ability to work collaboratively across multiple practice areas Must be a licensed Attorney in the State of California Can work out of any of these office
