Job Description:
Trustpoint has an immediate opening supporting a multinational media and entertainment company in its search for a Senior Counsel - Employment Law. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is expected to last approximately three months and will support a broad range of employment law matters across a complex, high-profile organization. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and human resources professionals, providing practical legal guidance on workplace issues, employee relations matters, and employment-related disputes. Candidates with significant employment counseling and litigation experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day employment law advice to internal business and human resources teams Counsel stakeholders on workplace issues, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, accommodations, leaves of absence, wage and hour matters, and other employee relations concerns Review, revise, and assist in preparing responses to administrative agency charges and employment-related complaints Analyze claims, demand letters, and pre-litigation disputes and provide strategic recommendations regarding risk and resolution Support internal investigations involving workplace conduct and employment policy issues Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Draft, review, and revise employment-related correspondence, policies, training materials, and legal documents Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop practical, business-oriented solutions to complex employment issues Assist with dispute resolution strategies and outside counsel management as needed
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school California Bar membership in good standing, or eligibility to register as in-house counsel in California 5+ years of experience practicing employment law within a law firm, corporate legal department, or a combination of both Strong experience advising on employee relations issues, workplace investigations, and employment law compliance Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical, risk-based guidance Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels of an organization

Location:
Anaheim, CA or Orlando, FL Opportunity to support a globally recognized media and entertainment organization Compensation expected to be 80-90/hr commensurate with experience Trustpoint.
