Job Description

Associate Attorney -
Labor & Employment Location:
Los Angeles, California An opportunity is available for an Associate Attorney within a Labor & Employment practice supporting public education institutions and public agencies. The position advises K-12 school districts and community college clients on operational legal matters affecting educational environments. The attorney will work collaboratively across Labor & Employment, Student Services, and Public Agency Governance teams while assisting clients with employment counseling, legal analysis, policy development, and operational guidance.
Responsibilities:
Advise educational institutions regarding labor and employment issues Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda Draft employment-related policies and documentation Counsel clients on employment and operational matters Collaborate across practice teams supporting public entities Provide strategic guidance to institutional clients
Candidate Profile:
1-4 years of Labor & Employment experience required Experience representing employers, public entities, school districts, or educational organizations preferred Strong analytical, research, and writing abilities Active California Bar membership required
Compensation & Benefits:
$120,000 - $160,000 base compensation depending on experience Billable hour bonus opportunities Annual discretionary bonuses 401(k) with profit-sharing contributions Medical, dental, vision, disability, commuter, wellness, and additional voluntary programs Role details reflect recruiter-provided information and supporting job documentation.
