Psychological Associate Postdoctoral Hours Child & Family Practice

Job Description:

Jacobs Psychological Services is seeking a motivated and thoughtful Psychological Associate seeking postdoctoral supervised hours to join a child- and family-focused practice in Los Angeles. This position is well suited for a candidate with strong training in evidence-based care for children and families and a particular interest in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Preference will be given to candidates with PCIT experience, though applicants with relevant background in child therapy, parent training, behavioral interventions, or evidence-based family work are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Provide psychotherapy and parent-focused treatment to children and families under supervision Deliver or support evidence-based interventions within scope of training and competence Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, schools, and other providers as appropriate Complete documentation in a timely and professional manner Participate in supervision and clinical consultation

Qualifications:

Registered or eligible to work as a Psychological Associate in California Seeking postdoctoral supervised hours Strong interest in child and family clinical work Experience with evidence-based interventions for children and families preferred PCIT experience preferred Excellent professionalism, communication skills, and clinical writing

Preferred Experience:

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Child psychotherapy Parent training Behavioral concerns in young children

Supervision and Training:
