Litigation Associate Attorney Position Overview :
A well-established full-service business law firm in Northern California is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Merced office. This is a great opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to build a broad-based litigation practice in a supportive and community-oriented environment. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on litigation experience across a variety of practice areas, with mentorship and long-term growth opportunities within a highly respected firm.
Responsibilities:
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials Take and defend depositions Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations Assist in strategy development and client communications Manage caseload and deadlines with attention to detail Collaborate with team members on complex litigation matters
Requirements:
J.D. from an accredited law school Active and in good standing with the California State Bar Strong academic credentials and legal writing skills Excellent communication and analytical abilities Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team Creative thinker and proactive problem solver How to
