Full-Time Position Overview:
Established AV rated defense firm is seeking a Toxic Torts & Product Liability Attorney to join its Oakland office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated, high-exposure litigation matters within a collaborative and nationally recognized practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex civil litigation matters, with exposure to toxic torts, asbestos, environmental litigation, product liability, or general liability defense. Candidates should be comfortable managing cases through all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and client communication.
Responsibilities:
Handle toxic tort and product liability defense matters from inception through resolution Draft and respond to written discovery and substantive motions Take and defend depositions Prepare cases for trial, mediation, and arbitration Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy Manage court appearances and client reporting
Qualifications:
2-10 years of civil litigation experience preferred Experience in toxic torts, product liability, insurance defense, environmental, or complex litigation a plus Strong legal writing and analytical skills Ability to independently manage a caseload and meet deadlines California Bar admission required
