This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is knowledgeable in California workers' compensation practice and enjoys advocating for clients throughout the litigation process. Responsibilities Appear at Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) hearings, status conferences, mandatory settlement conferences, and other proceedings on behalf of applicants. Prepare hearing files and ensure all necessary documents are available and organized. Communicate with clients regarding case status, hearing preparation, and case strategy. Work closely with attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategies. Negotiate with defense counsel and insurance representatives when appropriate. Review medical reports, discovery, and case documents. Draft legal correspondence, settlement documents, and other case-related materials. Maintain accurate case notes and updates within the firm's case management system. Qualifications Prior experience in California workers' compensation required. Experience appearing before the WCAB strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation procedures and regulations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to manage a caseload independently and work effectively in a team environment. Professional demeanor and strong client service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
