We are currently seeking an experienced, powerhouse Criminal Defense Attorney to join our mission-driven team. If you are a trial-ready advocate who thrives in the courtroom and believes that the "presumption of innocence" is a mandate, not a suggestion, we want to hear from you. You will step into a dynamic role managing a diverse caseload of state and federal matters, ranging from DUIs and misdemeanors to complex, high-stakes felonies. At My Rights Law, you won't be stuck in a library doing research for years—you will be in the courtroom, at the negotiating table, and on the front lines of justice.
Your day-to-day will include:
Strategic Litigation:
Managing cases from initial intake through trial or resolution.
Courtroom Advocacy:
Conducting preliminary hearings, arguing evidentiary motions, and leading jury trials.
Client Empowerment:
Navigating clients through the most stressful moments of their lives with empathy, clarity, and authoritative guidance.
Masterful Drafting:

Compensation:
$140,000 - $180,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
Qualifications:
Able to work independently while handling multiple files Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must Ability to use Microsoft Office is required Proficiency with legal case management software (e.g., Practice Panther, Clio, Filevine, or Smokeball) and e-filing systems for state and federal courts. Exceptional emotional intelligence and a high level of discretion when handling sensitive case details and interacting with clients facing high-stress situations.
