Associate Attorney

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Attorney to join our legal team, bringing a proactive approach to a diverse range of legal matters. As an Associate on our team, you will play a vital role in providing strategic legal counsel, conducting thorough research, and drafting clear legal documents to support our organization's goals. Duties Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis to support case preparation and legal analysis. Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, memoranda, and other correspondence. Negotiate settlements and agreements effectively while maintaining positive relationships with clients. Represent clients in court proceedings, administrative hearings, or mediations with confidence and professionalism. Draft and oppose motions. Attend court hearings and trials. Take and defend depositions. Maintain organized case files and manage multiple projects simultaneously within a busy law firm environment. Stay current on evolving laws and regulations relevant to practice areas by continuous research and professional development. Experience Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice law in California. Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred, including experience with litigating civil matters. Experience and knowledge of the procedural aspects of litigating civil matters, including knowledge of the applicable California Civil Code and Code of Civil Procedure. Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and/or WestLaw platforms for case analysis and legal updates. Excellent writing skills demonstrated through effective legal drafting of contracts, pleadings, and memoranda. Demonstrated negotiation abilities that lead to favorable outcomes for clients. Prior experience working in a fast-paced law firm setting with strong organizational skills. Familiarity with legal administrative processes including case management systems and document filing procedures. Pay $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 depending on experience. Benefits
