To be considered, you must have a California bar license or be waiting for results from the February 2026 or be currently signed up for the July 2026 bar exam. Your excellent communication and writing skills will come in handy as you thoughtfully position the clients toward favorable outcomes. You will be working on labor & employment defense matters, including class action and PAGA cases. If you are seeking a long-term place to call home, this job is for you.

Compensation:

$115,000 - $180,000 - commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations. Have responsibility for own caseload. Keep clients up to date on case progress and strategy. Interview clients and witnesses. Conduct investigations.

Qualifications:

Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys Have a California bar license, or are awaiting results from the February 2026 bar exam, or signed up for the July 2026 bar exam. Bilingual Spanish a plus, but not required. Must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the office. Proof of completion of law school from an ABA-accredited law school. Must provide school transcript. Must have excellent research and writing skills. Writing samples will be requested and checked for the use of AI.
