Candidates should be local or within a realistic commuting distance, especially while getting started with the firm. Note Must have an active California law license in good standing and litigation experience or a strong litigation-focused background. Probate, trust administration, or trust litigation experience is preferred but not required. Job Description Handle a primary workload of civil litigation matters, with probate and trust matters as needed. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement documents, correspondence, and legal memoranda. Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, conferences, and other litigation proceedings. Manage discovery, case deadlines, client communications, and matter strategy. Conduct legal research and analyze factual and legal issues. Assist with trial preparation, mediation preparation, and case resolution strategy. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and third parties. Work closely with partners, associates, paralegals, and support staff on active matters. Manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail, deadlines, and client service. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active California law license in good standing. 1+ years of attorney experience preferred. Civil litigation experience strongly preferred. Probate, trust administration, trust litigation, or estate-related experience is a plus. Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Comfortable working in an on-site office environment. Professional, responsive, organized, and able to manage deadlines independently.
