  • Business Litigation Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our Business Litigation team.
The successful candidate will represent corporate clients in complex commercial disputes, manage all aspects of litigation from case strategy through trial and appeal, and work collaboratively with partners and colleagues to deliver practical, results-driven legal solutions. This role is ideal for a skilled attorney who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is committed to excellent client service. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of business litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses. Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other court filings in federal and state courts. Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials; assist with trial preparation and courtroom presentation. Work closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies, evaluate risk, and advise clients on case posture and resolution options. Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties, maintaining professional client service and managing expectations. Review and analyze contracts, corporate records, and transactional documents to identify issues relevant to litigation and client exposure. Coordinate with experts, investigators, and e-discovery vendors to manage complex discovery and evidence preservation. Support business development initiatives, including drafting pitch materials, contributing to proposals, and participating in client meetings. Supervise and mentor junior associates, paralegals, and support staff on litigation tasks and project management. Keep up to date on developments in business litigation law, industry trends, and best practices to enhance client representation. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active admission to the state bar; ability to obtain admission as required for the jurisdiction. 3+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on business or commercial litigation preferred; experience as an Associate Attorney in a law firm setting strongly desired. Demonstrated courtroom, deposition, and motion practice experience, with a track record of effective legal writing and oral advocacy. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills; comfortable preparing pleadings, briefs, and complex legal documents. Proven ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines, prioritize work, and deliver high-quality results under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experience providing clear, practical legal advice to clients. Familiarity with e-discovery processes, litigation technology, and case management tools. Commitment to collegiality, mentoring, and contributing to business development efforts.
