Description
Squire Patton Boggs is seeking an Associate to join our Public Infrastructure and Finance practice in our Los Angeles, Palo Alto or San Francisco offices.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to draft bond and disclosure documents for various public finance deals including governmental, conduit, and 501(c)(3) deals related to financings for local governments, housing projects, K-12 and higher education facilities, healthcare facilities and various economic development projects, among others. The candidate will also draft documents related to representation of banks and underwriters in transactions providing loans and financings primarily for K-12 and higher education facility projects and not-for-profit organizations. The successful candidate will also have a working knowledge of federal securities and tax law as well as California financing laws, rules, and regulations.Academic and Professional Qualifications:
2-5 years of relevant experience Admission to the California Bar Possess a JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record Excellent credentialsKnowledge, Skills & Experience:
Must be a self-starter, have the ability to prioritize workload, display good judgment, and work well under pressure Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others on complex matters; Excellent written and oral communication skills and sound judgement; Strong technical drafting skills and relevant transactional experience with public finance transactions, including trust indentures, bond purchase agreements and disclosure documents, etc.; Strong analytical and writing skills; Working knowledge of constitutional, federal tax and securities and contract law; Excellent client-relationship skills; Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and with meticulous attention to detailApplication Process:

The salary range for this position is $225,000 - $280,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
