The Opportunity We're hiring a mid-to-senior Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney (5-10+ years) to independently manage hourly and contingency litigation matters from intake through resolution. You'll handle sophisticated disputes, partner with experts, and appear in court while collaborating with a top-tier team that values strategy, precision, and client service. What You'll Do Lead trust and estate litigation matters end to end, including case strategy, budgeting, and timelines. Draft and argue pleadings, law and motion, discovery, trial briefs, and settlement agreements. Conduct and defend depositions; manage written discovery and e-discovery. Handle mediations, settlement conferences, and regular court appearances. Liaise directly with clients, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, experts, and opposing counsel. Collaborate cross functionally with paralegals and litigation support to drive results. What We're Looking For 5-10+ years of recent Trust & Estate litigation experience (required), including probate and fiduciary disputes. Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy; motion practice and deposition experience. Ability to independently manage a caseload with strategic thinking, urgency, and attention to detail. Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar. Onsite availability in San Mateo, CA Nice-to-Have First or second-chair trial experience in probate or civil matters. Experience with contested accountings, will/trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty, removal/surcharge, undue influence, and elder abuse claims. Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$140,000 - $200,000 per year (DOE).
