Company Overview Mental Wellness Center (MWC) is a leading organization dedicated to enhancing the mental well-being of individuals in our community. Our long-standing values of hope, inclusivity, collaboration, and connection to care drive our mission to advance mental wellness in Santa Barbara by providing youth programming, early intervention, safe and affordable housing, education, and resources for mental health challenges. Job Summary The Family Engagement Associate serves as a key support for families and individuals impacted by Serious Mental Illness (SMI). This role provides compassionate guidance, education, and advocacy, helping families navigate the mental health system and access needed resources. Work includes one‑on‑one support, outreach, collaboration with community partners, and occasional evening/weekend hours. Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, non‑judgmental support to families and individuals seeking help related to SMI. Conduct assessments, triage needs, and connect families to MWC programs, mental health services, and community resources. Facilitate individual, couple, or family sessions using evidence‑based practices. Conduct outreach, attend community events, and build partnerships to support resource navigation. Advocate for family needs within the mental health system and participate in public speaking or presentations. Maintain accurate data, documentation, and program outcome tracking. Qualifications Registered or licensed clinician (AMFT, APCC, ASW, LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW). Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). Lived experience as a caregiving family member of someone with a serious mental health condition, or relevant education/work experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in mental health or social services. Experience with public speaking, group facilitation, and community outreach. Knowledge of local mental health resources, case management practices, and crisis intervention. Join us at the Mental Wellness Center where your dedication can help transform lives!
Pay:
$29.00 - $40.00 per hour
